MAFLA Board Members Terresa Pietro and Amy St. Arnaud will host the event on Friday afternoon, March 27 in Burlington, MA. Be sure to register and feel free to invite a colleague!

  MAFLA Proficiency Academy, 2026

  Join us to learn or advance your skills in performance-based and proficiency-focused instruction and curriculum design. Our 3-day Proficiency Academy is an immersive and collaborative learning experience. Depending on your own skill set, you can choose between:

  • Implementation Strand, led by Rebecca Blouwolff  
  • Curriculum, led by Leslie Grahn  

  Each strand includes high-quality workshops and facilitated break-out sessions where you can collaborate with colleagues to develop your own proficiency-based material to bring back to your district. 

  MEALS & HOUSING:

  You may choose to stay in the Westfield State dorms for an additional fee (check in Monday morning and check out Wednesday afternoon).
  
  Those residing in the dorms will have all meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) included.  Those commuting will have breakfast and lunches included.
